REQUIREMENTS
Fitness
A good level of fitness will be required to participate in the walk. Please notify us of any relevant medical conditions at the time of booking. Mountain walking obviously involves some hazard. Certain minor injuries are commonly associated with trekking and are unavoidable—twisted ankles and knees, minor grazes, blisters etc. It is important to bring plenty of food and snacks, as well as water. Adequate nutrition and hydration are essential. Please ensure you have all the required equipment as specified in the kit list, this is for your safe enjoyment of the mountain environment, and to protect you from unexpected weather conditions! Actual clothing required may depend on the weather on the day!

Warm Jacket – Fleece Cotton Trousers – suitable for walking / and training bottoms
Small Rucsac – to carry your lunch and spare clothing

Equipment
Every participant should have a watch.
The leader of each group, (there must be a designated leader of each group who has had experience of navigating in thick cloud on mountains with a map and compass), must have :
(1) 1:25,000 scale map Outdoor Leisure 4 North West Area (the detailed route plan you will be given relates to this map), preferably the waterproofed one, but otherwise with a map case.
(2) Compass
(3) Whistle
(4) Mobile phone
(5) First Aid Kit
(6) Survival Bag (Plastic 6'x2' bag, available cheaply in outdoor shops).
In addition, one other member of each group must have the same map, a compass and a mobile phone
